Eyes on the ball, a racket in hand, table tennis naturally promotes the coordination of the eye and body and ultimately the hand, with which the player strikes, strokes, spins, smashes, brushes, blocks, chop, chip, and return the ball to the opponent's side of the table.
How in the world can Ping Pong improves health ? Well, in simple words, during every rally, a player keenly looks at the ball to determine where each rally will land his / her side of the table.

With anticipation from this observation, he/she hops (footwork) toward that landing, at the same time moving with the back swing of the racket. As he/she lands, the feet springs with the muscle strength from the feet, transferred towards the torso / pelvis, his/her body turns slightly adjusting to the swing power intended to execute the stroke to his/her arms and ultimately striking the ball, returning it to the side of the opponent's. .... and this continues till the end of each rally, usually happening within seconds to perhaps 15 seconds in duration.
All five critical areas of table tennis are involved, namely technical, tactical, mental, spiritual and physical.
I have spoken to many of my friends above 60, who admitted, if they stopped playing ping pong for a week, they become restless. On the contrary, after a couple of games, they become more alert and helps in their routine activities. Likewise for students, they find themselves more alert in class and lectures.
Many have admitted, ping pong is not only a sport, it has become an art !
