Looking for a fun, exciting and engaging way to burn off the calories ? An average 150 pound person burns 272 calories an hour just playing table tennis. A great fun way to burn off those extras and tone your body.
On an average, anyone who plays about 4 to 5 matches at any given time will find themselves aching the next morning. This is because of the effects of burnt up calories in your body whilst you naturally tone up your muscles. This is why it is critical to have a warm up session before the game, and a tone down session after the game, every time you participate in ping pong. Yes, your entire body mind and spirit is involved, those who think nothing of ping pong and thought it not a sport, must surely have not had any or a proper source of information. Ping Pong has earned the reputation of not only a sport, but that of science and an art by itself.
They say a picture is better than a thousand words, below you will find a feast for the visually inclined.
Here are some guide in pictures, these are not exhaustive.

The above as warm up and tone down, before and after are only as a guide but it is a MUST DO for all players of all ages. This should take approximately 15 to 20 minutes, ignore at your own peril.
Those of you who find waking up in the morning (after the games the night before) with aches all over will most definitely attest to the lack of and or the non existence of warm up and tone down.
Hope the above helped, God Bless and stay healthy. Enjoy your Ping Pong
